The OOU SUG 2021/2022 election was scheduled to commence by 10:am and end by 4:00 pm but has been postponed to commence at 12 pm and end by 4 pm.
In the broadcast signed by the Eco Chairman and some committee members, the election was delayed to ensure that all eligible voters can receive their voting details before the commencement of the elections.
The statement read, "The above-named committee wishes to inform the general public that the Central Executive Council Election earlier scheduled at 10 am today has been *briefly postponed* to ensure that all eligible voters across all campuses receive their Voting details".
The committee further reiterate its efforts to ensure a free and transparent election.
The statement was concluded with the following words,
"The ECO reiterates her commitment to a free and transparent election, hence, we are working assiduously to ensure that we have a credible election."
