The Faculty of Law, Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), honoured its 2024/2025 graduating class—fondly called the Legal Stalwarts—at its 12th Valedictory Session held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at the OGD Hall.
The ceremony brought together a distinguished gathering of academic leaders, legal luminaries, and royal dignitaries to celebrate the achievements of the 160 graduating students, including seven first-class graduates.
Representing the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Agboola Johnson, was the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Academics, Prof. Abosede alongside prominent figures such as Hon. Justice Olumuyiwa S. Olusanya (rtd.), legal practitioner Mr. Farouq Obisanya, and the royal father of the day, HRH Oba Kayode Sikiru Okuribido, the Dagurewe of Idowa.
In his address, Oba Okuribido encouraged the graduates to remain resilient and focused, reminding them that the valedictory session marked only the beginning of their legal journey. He also commended the university’s leadership for its commitment to discipline and academic excellence.
Topping the list of achievers was Odebode Sulaimon, who emerged as the best graduating student of the Faculty. The event not only celebrated academic milestones but also reinforced the faculty’s legacy of grooming outstanding legal minds for the future.
