Campus Mirror is a campus media organization in the heart of
Olabisi Onabanjo University. As a campus media organization, Campus Mirror, OOU is duly registered
with the Directorate of Students’ Affairs of the university.
In line with its motto “Be Informed”, the club has, since
inception, continue to get the University community and beyond better informed
through timely news report, punchy editorials, insightful features, opinions,
articles, among others in strict adherence to the ethics of journalism.
Sierraloaded.com has membership
of more than 40 drawn from all faculties of the University.
MODE OF OPERATIONS
In carrying out
her duties as the fourth estate of the realm in the University Community and
invariably reaching out to the world, Campus
Mirror adopts the following media in carrying out its operations:
The
Social Media: With the
new media and the opportunities as well as the exposure it offers, Campus Mirror adopted the social media
as a medium for carrying out its operations. The following are our social media

The
Print media: In addition
to our website and social media platforms, Campus Mirror also operates through
the print media. Our print media brands comprises of weekly bulletins and the
proposed magazine.:

Campus Mirror News Bulletin: This is an A3-paged bulletin pasted on
notice boards and distributed free of charge across the university community
including Shagamu, Ibogun, Ayetero and other external campus. The pages vary
between one and three pages. It covers news stories, feature stories, Amebo
corner and many more. The bulletin is produced weekly, and over 30 editions
have been published. An online (PDF) version of the publication is usually
released as well.
OUTREACH
The Olabisi
Onabanjo University has a total population of 27,000 full-time Students,
according to an official statistics released by the University in 2016.
Students in
the University are acquainted to both offline and online means of information
dissemination.
However, through
our dedicated online and offline media channels, our outreach expands to:

Campus Mirror news and weekly bulletins enjoys wide array of readership from online and
offline readers.
Although, exact figures cannot be ascertained due to the
transient level of offline and online readers, our statistics have been
determined on faculty basis based on the following: the total number of Students who have participated in our weekly Campus
Quiz, Students who have reacted or made comments online & offline about
published stories and Students who have placed adverts, campus hype request,
campus personality requests, birthday shout outs and Students who have featured
in news and interviews since inception.
