NAOSS '26: WE WILL WIN IT AGAIN – ASSED

The New Age Ballers competition continued with intensity and confidence, as players not only delivered on the pitch but also made strong statements off it.

ASSED’s 2–0 victory over TPM was one of the standout results of the day, built on early chances that proved decisive. Their MVP, Cisco, kept his focus clear and simple during the match, saying, “Nothing was going through my mind, just to win the game and keep a clean sheet.”

Despite TPM’s late push, he dismissed any doubts about the result, adding, “They were the better team in the last 15 minutes, but it was already too late.”

Looking ahead to the second leg, Cisco left no room for uncertainty: “There’s a second leg and for sure we will be winning again.”

In another fixture, Philosophy edged Computer Science 2–1, with preparation making the difference. A Philosophy player, Barella, emphasized his mindset during the game, stating, “I was just 100% focused on the match.” He acknowledged the effort of their opponents but stood firm on his team’s edge: “They put up a good fight, but we were just better prepared.”

And like ASSED, confidence remains high going forward: “We will win again.”

The clash between Business Administration and HDS ended in a 0–0 draw, the first goalless game of the tournament. HDS player Lekan admitted the team had one clear objective, saying, “Victory… I wanted my team to win, we tried our best.” He described the encounter as tough, adding, “Today’s match was a hard match honestly.”

While reflecting on the performance, he pointed out areas for improvement: “The team needs a better player.”

Still, the mood in the camp remained positive after the game, with Lekan noting the atmosphere was “encouraging.” And when asked about the return leg, his belief was clear and concise: “Team HDS.”

Elsewhere, Accounting’s dominant 3–0 win over Plant Science provided one of the most emphatic performances of the round, including a standout goal from a corner kick.

With strong performances and even stronger words, NAOSS ’26 is already shaping into a competition driven by confidence, preparation, and the belief that every team still has something to prove.
