The Nigerian Sociology And Anthropological Students Association OOU Chapter held a seminar on Wednesday 1st of November 2023. The Topic of the seminar was, "What Can I Do With A Degree In Sociology?"
The guest Speaker, Dr. Richard Aborishade explained to everyone that sociology is a good course which can be used to work anywhere. He admonishes the students to always update their CVs and put in their best in all class activities because it will help their reasoning level, and it will be of great help anywhere they find themselves in the near future.
Also, some of the Sociology Department lecturers encourage students to take all they are been taught in class seriously.In attendance, we had The Deputy Head of Department in the person of Dr. Bawala who represented the Head of Department in the person of Dr. Oyafunke Omoniyi, the staff Adviser, Dr. Mayowa Solaja, Dr. Adeleke, and the Guest speaker the day Dr. Richard Aborishade.
The seminar which was organized under the Administration of Roger Agbofia was hosted by ANIKE. Awards were presented to the Head of the Department and the Guest speaker of the day. Majority of the executives of the sociology department were also in attendance.
