Poets In Nigeria (PIN), Olabisi Onabanjo University Connect Centre will host its Inauguration/Award Giving Ceremony in celebration of "PIN @6" on October 22nd for its month of Freedom & Creativity.
The event is in a bid to extol all lovers of words, poetry, spoken words, drama and creativity, which will feature renowned and reputable scholars in the writing/poetry field.
Rahma O. Jimoh, the led rep of PIN OOU Connect centre, explained the laid down activities of the Inauguration and Award Giving Ceremony will include spoken words, drama, questions and answers related to the craft.
She said: "It shall be an avenue for young talented writers and lovers of poetry to showcase their talents of writing and creativity.
The guests expected at the ceremony: Ayeyemi Taofeek, Akinrinade Funminiyi Isaac (Keks), Stephen Ezekiel (celebrity writer) and Isreal Fadoyin (Easy)will also throw questions to attendees to win books and other freebies.
She added that intellectual and creative events like this should be encouraged among students to achieve balanced academic performance and meet standards amongst other universities in the world.
She identifies the support of the Students Union Government, Barrister Kolawole of Faculty of Law and Kolajo Blessing, who is also a graduate of Law to the promotion of creative writing in the Institution.
