The leadership of the National Association of University Students (NAUS), led by its Chairman, Comrade Araba Muhammed Okanlawon, paid a courtesy visit to the Dean of Student Affairs at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), applauding his dedication to student welfare and campus stability.
During the visit, Okanlawon, accompanied by the Deputy General Secretary and other executive aides, commended the Dean for his consistent efforts in maintaining discipline, promoting student well being, and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment across the university.
He noted that the Dean’s proactive approach has significantly contributed to sustaining peace and order within the institution, describing his leadership as impactful and worthy of recognition.
In his response, the Dean of Student Affairs expressed gratitude to the NAUS delegation for the visit and acknowledgment. He stressed the importance of unity and collaboration between students and university authorities, emphasizing that shared responsibility is key to maintaining a peaceful academic environment and driving institutional growth.
Both parties engaged in discussions centered on strengthening student management relations and exploring practical ways to enhance student welfare, security, and development within the university community.
The meeting concluded with the Dean advising student leaders and the wider student body to remain committed to their academic pursuits, uphold discipline, and actively participate in university affairs.
