The game has just begun as the match which determines the overall winner; the finals is about to be played by the two most consistent faculties who have made it right from the start in the ongoing OOU FA Cup.
On Thursday, July 4, the Faculty of Arts will lock horns with the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences at the OOU Sport Complex to decide who takes home the FA trophy.
The inter-faculty competition which kicked-off since June 17 has been quite competitive as a lot of faculties have tried and lost, leaving just the faculties of BMS and Arts after defeating their diverse opponents 3 good points each, to battle at the finals.
Speaking with Campus Mirror, the SUG Sport Director, Onasanya Ayomide (Ayomie) said there are several awards for grabs also which includes Most Valuable Player (MVP), Golden gloves, Man of the match and many more.
"On the 4th of July, the first and second would be awarded, as well as the best goalkeeper, the Man of the Match, The Most Valuable Player and many more.
The first would be given the Trophy Cup, medals and jerseys. The second would also be given medals and jerseys. There would be series of dignitaries on ground and the match would be on air as the event would be covered by Orisun TV.", she added.
