The Induction ceremony for Performing Arts Students' Association PASA has been set to hold on the 4th of April 2019.
The induction ceremony is an annual rite held to "initiate" or rather welcome the new students that wants to act on stage as their stage is considered as a sacred ground where just any one can use.
"The induction is held to initiate students to be Thespians and to know the value of the stage. It is a sacred ground and the induction ceremony has been since forever. Back in the days, the induction is usually conducted at night, but because of the safety of the students, it was moved to during the day."
The ceremony has a lot of side attractions including talent shows, dramas and much more.
The President of PASA, Ali Adeola who Campus Mirror met with believes the turnout would be impressive even as the event clashes with the "DJ Lawy Campus Tour".
Veteran actors like Fausat Balogun, Murphy Afolabi and Iyabo Ojo have been invited to the ceremony to participate in and to also help the inductees understand more about the theatre.
"The guests were chosen through the staff adviser as most times, it is always better to use someone that has been into theatre to make the inductees understand better, as theatre has existed for long", the President told Campus Mirror.
The ceremony which has always been greeted with an impressive turnout in recent years is even more anticipated to be a lovely, informative and educative gathering for all students.
