After been in the acting capacity for months, Justice Odugbemi Micheal has emerged the Chief Justice of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Student Union Government.
In an emergency plenary by the OOU SUG SHS held today 4th of May, 2018, Odugbemi emerged winner in all constituencies after an election was conducted between the two nominees for the position of Chief Justice.
While answering questions from Campus Mirror, Justice Odugbemi described the victory as the total will of God. "Whatever will be, will be. I believe my victory has been pre-destined from the Supreme being", he said.
Similarly, Justice Oladeji Oluwabukunmi, a 300Level Law Student who is also a Judge told Campus Mirror that it was a successful worth celebration "I believed the victory of Honorable Justice Michael worth celebration after much controversies in the Judiciary arm", he said.
Meanwhile, the SUG President, Comrade Williams Adeosun has reportedly rejected the election result. Eye witnesses said the President walked out of the plenary in protest of his alleged nomination of the new Chief Justice. It was gathered that the President claimed that he doesn't know Justice Odugbemi Michael and has no knowledge of his nomination.
