Over 100 Students to Face Disciplinary Committee For Examination Malpractice

At least one hundred and twenty two students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye are set to face the institution's disciplinary committee for examination malpractice and other related offences.

This was made known to Campus Mirror by official sources. This report follows after 13 other students had earlier faced the committee last Tuesday in which 9 of them were eventually discharged and 4 others were found guilty.

Campus Mirror is aware that students who are found guilty of malpractice related offences are faced with suspension, expulsion or other punishments including criminal litigation.

SUG Vice President, Comrade Lawal Alimat (Lymar) while speaking on this issue lamented at the widespread of this ill attitude. She said that it took the combined effort of the SUG legal director and her office before 9 Students who faced the panel last week could escape any form of punishment.

While urging students to shun such acts that could jettison their academic career and future, Lymar, who is also the SUG academic committee chairman revealed that her office is set to undertake a massive campaign against examination malpractice.

"I will be from campus to campus to start a massive campaign against examination malpractice. We need to curb it, We need to stop it now. It is getting too much", Lymar said.
