NIGERIAN ASSOCIATION OF COMPUTING STUDENTS (NACOS OOU) ELECT NEW CEC.

The Nigerian Association of Computing Students, (NACOS) Olabisi Onabanjo University Chapter has elected a new central executive Council. The election was held on Thursday at the Faculty of Science phase 2, ground floor.

Lamidi Olashile Moses known among Students as Ehlis polled a total of 107 votes to defeat his closest rival, David Oluwasegun popularly known as DVD with 40 votes.


 

Other results announced by the electoral committee are Financial Secretary: Bello Abdullah- 19 votes, Iremide Oluwateniola -113 votes, Kenneth Kikanwa- 16 votes. Welfare Director 2: Yakubu Yunusa- 65 votes, Udebhulu Gideon- 70 votes. ICT Director: Walai Bakare- 58 votes, Tejuosho Emmanuel- 89 votes.


In a press release signed by the ECO Chairman, Osho Oluwaseun Emmanuel appreciated the students of the department for their trust and cooperation throughout the process.

The President-elect, Lamidi Olashile while reacting to the result of the election said "I am deeply honored and grateful to have been elected as the President of our esteemed association. We are all in this together, and I am committed to fulfilling my mission and vision for the department. With great humility and excitement, I step into this role, ready to serve and represent every one of you to the best of my abilities."

Olugbenga Ezekiel Tiamiyu, a student who also contested the election stated that "the election went free and fair even though some positions are heated."
