SUG Chief Whip Warns Fresher Over Fraudsters Who Sells Fake Tax Clearance

Senator Adedayo Abiodun, the Chief whip of the OOU Students' Union Government House of Senate has urged  students, especially fresher  to desist from paying unknown persons for tax clearance.

He also warned that they should be careful of the new method of creating group chats in which the fraudsters now use in duping  students by giving them fake tax  clearance.

In his words, "we have fake task clearance everywhere now, some people join their group chat and they will be telling them how they will help them with the tax clearance and after paying them 10k  they get  a fake receipt in return.

''I experienced one and it was resolved with the help of the SUG legal director and myself with some good oouites''

He encouraged students who wants to pay for tax clearance to walk straight to the tax clearance office and perform the necessary payment procedure that needs to be done in order to get a certified tax clearance.

Adedayo Abiodun explained further that the tax clearance office are working towards the use of POS which will be in use soon and then payments would stop being in cash.
