BAM BAM SWEEPS ASCOM ELECTION WITH A LANDSLIDE VICTORY.

The Association of Students Communicators (ASCOM) of Olabisi Onabanjo University has elected Akinleye Moses Bamidele popularly known as "Bam Bam" as the new president of the  Association. 


Out of the 196 total votes, Bam Bam pulled a total of 123 votes while Baffy scored 36 votes and 37 as invalid votes. While responding to his victory news at the polls, he said "I appreciate God and everyone that came out to vote. I also appreciate Baffy, because she's not only my opponent but my friend and she has allowed me to stretch beyond my boundaries." 


Bam Bam assured Ascomites of his dedication to the Association by saying, "We're coming big and better, we'll keep the flag of ASCOM flying higher again." Sen. Yusuff Mutiullahi Abiodun, the Electoral Committee Chairman appreciated all the students for their participation in the electoral process; "you can see on people's face that the committee is not biased, it's transparent, free and fair as promised."


However, the opponent of the ASCOM president-elect, Amoye Toluwani popularly known as "Baffy" stated after the election that, "so far so good, I tried my best but we're always here to support the new administration with consultation if needed." Isaac Temiloluwa, the Sport Director-elect also mentioned to Campus Mirror, "I feel good and excited and looking forward to working with other executives."


Feyintoluwa Akinyemi, a 200-level ASCOM voter had this to say about the just concluded election; "it was a free and fair election, even though most of the candidates were unopposed." Other winners of the election include Umar Mariam (Vice-president), Isinkaye Oluwaseyi (Financial Secretary), Ozoya Joshua (Welfare Director), Peter Ololade (General Secretary), Sobayo Anuoluwapo (Assistant General Secretary), Akande Enoch (Social Director) and Isaac TemilolSportsrtst Director).
