The Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Olabisi Onabanjo University has issued key updates affecting students, including a timeline for the release of Harmattan semester results, the reopening of registration portals, and the introduction of new administrative guidelines.
In an official memo dated April 15, 2026, the union assured students that Harmattan semester results will be released within days, noting that score uploads have been completed. According to the SUG, the delay was necessary to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
The union further announced that the Rain semester course registration portal will open immediately after the results are released. Students have been urged to complete their registration promptly, as no extension will be granted. The SUG stressed strict compliance to avoid a repeat of challenges experienced in the previous semester.
Additionally, the medical fee payment portal has been activated. Students are advised to make payments early to enable timely scheduling of their medical screenings.
On financial matters, the union clarified issues surrounding the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND). Students whose status reads “disbursed” but have not received payment are instructed to submit a formal complaint to the school bursar. The letter must include their full name, matriculation number, and correct bank details for verification.
The SUG also introduced new regulations on banner displays across campus. Students, groups, and organisations are now required to obtain prior approval before mounting banners. All materials must be vetted by both the SUG and the university’s security unit. The union warned that unauthorized banners will be removed, and violators may face disciplinary action.
The statement was jointly signed by SUG President Kehinde O. Bamgbose and General Secretary Olajire Emmanuel.
