Oyekan Rasheed, a student of the department of Geography and Region300-levelling has emerged as communications elect in the just-concluded election of the Faculty of Social sciences. He emerged in the position unopposed.
Oyekan Rasheed is a two-time Senator of the OOU SUG Hallow Chamber and is popularly known as Senator The Gomez. It is not worth knowing that this is the first time, the department of Geography will produce a SOSSA president.
Akinleye Bamidele p.k.a Bambam who contested for the position of General Secretary has emerged victorious as the General secretary-elect of SOSSA in the 2022 elections. Bambam is a 300 level student of Mass communication and a former Assistant General Secretary of ASCOM 20/21.
The election was held by the Faculty of Social Sciences (SOSSA) on Tuesday, the 8th of November, 2022. It began at 11:25 AM at the Same Ewang beside AA building.
Students across the six (6) departments of the faculty came out en masse to vote. Bambam defeated his contender, Chika Innocent p.k.a Yung Dynasty at the poll with 595 votes, while his contender pulled 221 votes. It was a landslide victory.
