Gee O, who was second runner up said this while lamenting on the way the recently concluded SUG election was allegedly manipulated. In his words, "The election was not free and fair at all. It was really rigged and rigged to the core."
Recall that the 400L student of English had written a petition to challenge the result of the election. According to him, the petition is solely for the winner to come out and defend his result.
"I see no reason why he couldn't get 10% of his vote from the main Campus but just from no where. I don't just understand. The reason behind the petition is just for him to come and defend it then I will just back off.", Gee O said.
While lamenting the way his petition was treated, Gee O also condemned the failure of the SUG President, Comrade Adeosun Williams to reply his petition. He furthered that if the petition doesn't go in his favour, He will be left with no option than to leave everything in the hands of God.
However, he advised aspirants who may encounter such situations in future to ensure they achieve their set goals first before showing it to the world. "I tried all my best during the election but the manipulation caused my failure.
My advise to upcoming aspirant is that they should keep their plans to them until they achieve it because that's one of the things that worked against me."
