The students empowerment Outreach, also known as SEO for short, holds an event in celebration of her one year anniversary, on the 29th of April 2026.
The event Themed “Building Up The Potential In You” is titled “A career in the digital Innovation: Leveraging Innovation Digital Skills and Strategic Skills Development for Long-term Success. Set to hold at the Large Lecture Theatre New Faculty (LLTNF) at the Mass Communication building, the event will be featuring a panel session, award presentation, induction and certificates presentation to members.
The event will bring together a line-up of experienced guest speakers, including Moses A. Jayeoba and Victor A. Ogunleye from Guinness Nigeria Plc, Michael O. Sonaike from FCMB Group, and Femi J. Olaseinde, a thought leader, global speaker, and leadership development strategist. Their sessions are expected to centre on navigating career paths in an increasingly digital world.
As an organization that aims to provide a space for students to learn, connect with others and gain exposure to life changing opportunities, SEO has grown to a very remarkable length since it's inauguration last year April and now has 65 members who are ready and active to become change makers in their society.
Speaking on the significance of the event, SEO founder, Sonaike Emmanuel said the organisation is focused on equipping students with practical direction for the digital economy. "This year, we look forward to training and enlightening students on how to map out a career in this digital era and how to thrive wonderfully," he said.
The event is free and open to all, though attendance requires prior registration via a dedicated link.
Emmanuel urged OOU students to attend, describing the event as an opportunity to network with industry professionals and like-minded peers.
