OOU SUG ECO Fixes March 6 for Grand Inauguration of Newly Elected Leaders

The Students’ Union Government Electoral Committee (SUGECO), of Olabisi Onabanjo University, has announced plans to inaugurate the newly elected members of the Central Executive Council (CEC) alongside the Principal Officers of the Students’ House of Senate (SHS).

In a press statement issued on March 1, 2026, the committee disclosed that the ceremony will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026, at A.A Hall, opposite Access Bank, OOU. Proceedings are scheduled to begin promptly at 11:00 a.m.

Describing the event as a pivotal moment in the Union’s democratic journey, the Electoral Committee noted that the inauguration marks not only the formal assumption of office by the new leadership but also a reaffirmation of the Union’s commitment to accountability, service, and continuity.

According to the statement, the ceremony underscores the University community’s dedication to organized student leadership, inclusive governance, and a smooth, peaceful transition of authority within the institution.
