SUG ELECTORAL COMMITTEE BEGINS SALE OF NOMINATION FORMS

The Electoral Committee of the Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Student Union Government (SUG) has formally announced the commencement of the sale of nomination forms for aspirants seeking elective positions in the forthcoming SUG elections.

In a memorandum issued on Thursday, January 15, 2026, the committee disclosed that the sale of forms began on the same day. The memo also confirmed the lifting of the campaign ban, granting aspirants permission to begin campaign activities from January 15 to January 23, 2026, in line with the approved election timetable.

The committee outlined the cost of nomination forms for positions under the Central Executive Council (CEC) and the Students’ House of Senate (SHS). The breakdown is as follows: President – ₦30,000; Vice President – ₦20,000; General Secretary – ₦20,000; Assistant General Secretary – ₦15,000; Public Relations Officer – ₦20,000; Legal Director – ₦20,000; Media Director – ₦15,000; Sports Director – ₦20,000; Social Director – ₦20,000; and Students’ House of Senate (SHS) – ₦10,000.

The Electoral Committee advised all intending aspirants to adequately prepare for the electoral process and conduct themselves responsibly in order to ensure a free, fair, and credible election. Aspirants were further reminded to take note of the deadline for the purchase of forms and to strictly comply with all guidelines issued by the committee to guarantee a smooth, transparent, and orderly election process.
