The faculty of social sciences (SOSSA) defeats environmental science in an entertaining encounter on January 16, 2026, at the attackers' field.
Captain of the Social Sciences Student Association (SOSSA), Adekunle Bólúwatifẹ́, has expressed full confidence in his team chances of winning the FLA tournament following their 2–0 victory.
Speaking after the match, Adekunle attributed the victory to the quality within the squad and the strong sense of teamwork displayed on the pitch.
“I’m 100% confident about our chances of winning the tournament. We have good players, a strong striker, and most importantly, great team play,” the SOSSA captain said.
The match saw both teams battle intensely in the first half, which ended goalless. SOSSA, however, returned stronger in the second half, maintaining belief in their game plan and collective effort.
Adekunle noted that the team’s unity and coordination were key factors in breaking down the opposition, eventually leading to two well-earned goals that sealed the victory.
According to the captain, the result was a reflection of the hard work and understanding among the players, stressing that individual talent only thrives when supported by team spirit.
“We give our best, play for each other, and put the team first,” he added.
The captain’s confidence following the win highlights SOSSA’s growing momentum in the tournament, as the team continues to build on discipline, unity, and shared ambition. He also praised the man of the match, Ezekiel pka Loner.
