Lightening Football Club striker, Olamide Enitan, popularly known as Haaland, has made it known that Warriors FC have lost the chance to clinch the title after 2 nil defeat to Sea Wolves.
The ex-Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) Ibadan player, emphasized his team's readiness to win the Champions Football League (CFL) title, leaving no chance for Warriors FC to come back on top.
“We played a very good game today. I was satisfied with our performance. They know we're winning this league already. We've given the Warriors a chance to do that, but they bottled the chance this morning. They played the first match and they lost 2 goals to nil, so now we're at the top and there's no coming down,” he said.
Meanwhile, Haaland expressed satisfaction having scored four goals in the 5-1 thriller against Dynamo FC and stated his thirst to do better.
“I felt good, better than my previous matches, I played well today, but I'm hoping to do more in the next game. No doubt I am the best striker in the league, though there are better strikers but I am better than them. Adura, playing for Warriors is on seven goals; he has the potential as well,” he added.
Haaland now tops the highest goal scorer table with 10 goals in 8 matches, while Adura in second place, with 7 goals.
Warriors FC's impressive 7 games unbeaten run has now come to an end, with all ten teams participating in the league competition having tasted defeat.
