The Student Union Government (SUG) Olabisi Onabanjo University, has made it known that union buses will be readily available to convey students across all terminals, effective today, November 13.
According to the memorandum released by the Union in the late hours of Tuesday, the SUG buses will commence autonomous operations by conveying students from various terminals to school.
“Sequel to previous consultations and engagements between the campus shuttle drivers, school management, and students, we're pleased to inform you that, effective tomorrow, Wednesday, November 13, the SUG Buses will commence autonomous operations, conveying students across all junctions without hindrance.”
Meanwhile, the 37th Public Relations Officer, Honourable Ab, through a post via her X handle on Tuesday, called the attention of students to changes made to terminals where buses will be positioned to convey students.
The post reads: “Dearest OOUITES, tell a friend to tell a friend that these are the newly designated terminals! Oru-Ajebo, Mariam-Adenusi Close, Pepsi-Nawarudeen School, Itamerin-Lambo Lambo, Konigba-Yaro Ade, Chips-Unchanged, Mini Campus-inside Mini campus premises. Thank you.”
The Union, however, urges all students to maintain peace and cooperation during the operations, and also guarantee their safety, as the services of security personnel will be employed.
“To guarantee the safety and security of our students, security personnel will be strategically positioned across all junctions. We urge students to maintain peace and cooperation during tomorrow's operation. Any attempt to sabotage the safety of our students will not be tolerated,” the memo reads.
