The second edition of the National Association of Ogun State Students Interdepartmental Cup has been scheduled to commence on Thursday, March 14th, 2024, at Olabisi Onabanjo University Sports Center.
Each department has to pay a form fee of twenty-five thousand naira before they are eligible to participate in the cup. There are rewards in line for the winner of the competition, first runners-up, second runners-up, the MVP, the highest goal scorer, the best coach, and the best keeper.
According to the association's sports director, Comrade Oyemosu Gideon popularly known as Mr Tego, who is mainly in charge of the cup, revealed that the cup was established by the former sports director, Senator Frontliner and he promised that the cup would continue.
In his words; “As a big association just like the sug, we should be able to do something on our own and sell ourselves through different forums, hosting a competition is one of the ways to advertise ourselves as an administration.
Mr. Tego further explained that the competition has gained ground in Olabisi Onabanjo University Sports, serving as a forum for different departments, faculties to compete with each other and also pushing the association to spotlight through the sports competition.
