The meeting between the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, HRH, Oba Abdulrazaq Adesina Adenugba, Olabisi Onabanjo University management and students stakeholders regarding the hike in tuition fees on Friday, December 5th, 2024 has yielded a positive result.
During his speech, Ebumawe promises to advocate for the students before the vice chancellor and give a response before tomorrow. Several issues were addressed, but the reduction in the cost of the tuition fee was hammered on and given more attention. The Kabiyesi vows to dialogue with the Vice Chancellor and give a response before tommrrow.
The meeting has in attendance, HRH, Oba Abdulrazaq Adesina Adenugba, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, the OOU Deputy Vice- Chancellor Administration, Prof. Charles Adekoya, the Divisional Police Officer( D.P.O) of Ago-Iwoye, the Police Area Commander and the Chief Security Officer of OOU.
He further urged the Students representatives to promise that no violent actions will be taken before his feedback, as the king is trying his best to avoid any form of violence in the community.
