OOU SUG ELECTORAL COMMITEE ANNOUNCE SALES OF FORM FOR ASPIRANTS.

Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) is set to witness an exciting development as the Electoral Commission announces the lifting of the ban on Student Union campaign, signaling the commencement of the sale of forms for interested aspirants.


Starting from Monday, 11th September 2023, the Electoral Commission will commence the sale of forms to interested aspirants. This move demonstrates the commission’s commitment to ensuring a credible and well-organized election process. Aspiring candidates for both the Central Executive Council (CEC) and the Student House of Senate (SHS) will have the opportunity to obtain the forms until Friday, 15th September 2023.

Here is the breakdown of the cost for the forms of various CEC offices:


1. President - ₦15,000

2. Vice-President (I, ii, iii, iv) - ₦10,000

3. General Secretary - ₦10,000

4. Assistant General Secretary (I, ii, iii, iv) - ₦8,000

5. Public Relations Officer - ₦8,000

6. Legal Director - ₦10,000

7. Welfare Director - ₦10,000

8. Financial Secretary - ₦10,000

9. Medical Director - ₦10,000

10. Sports Secretary - ₦10,000

11. Social Director - ₦10,000


For SHS aspirants, the cost of the form is set at ₦8,000.

Aspirants vying for CEC positions are required to make their payments to the account details provided by Onanuga Ayomide, the Financial Secretary. The account number is 9030191384 in Opay Bank. Once the payment is made, aspirants must provide evidence by forwarding a screenshot to the Chairman of the commission. SHS aspirants should consult their ECO representatives for information on the payment method.


The commission emphasizes that all aspirants and campaign teams must uphold civility, respect, and integrity throughout the campaign period. It urges aspirants and the entire student community to collaborate and support the commission in carrying out its duties faithfully.
