Shun Examination Malpractice Or Face Expulsion - SUG Vice President Warns Students

The Vice President of the OOU Students' Union Government, Comrade Lawal Alimat (Lymar) has urged students to shun examination malpractice and other activities that could jettison their academics in the University.

Her comments comes in wake of the examinations that started last week for 300L and 400L students of the institution.

It would be recalled that over 100 students are set to face the school disciplinary committee for examination malpractice and other related offences , according to a recent report published by Campus Mirror.

Lymar, who doubles as the Academic Committee Chairman of the SUG lamented at the rate at which the ill attitude is prevalent in the University.

Campus Mirror is aware that students who are found guilty of malpractice related offences are faced with suspension, expulsion or other punishments including criminal litigation. "Students should say 'no' to Examination malpractice. I keep saying it, it is not encouraging, it is not good. Please, let us try as much as possible even if it is on the day of examination , you will carry La cram La pour, cram it and pour it and leave the exam hall and pray. Number one step is to pray, read and shun examination malpractice.", Lymar said.
