Project Rebranding OOU: SUG President, Williams Unveils New Union Logo

In a bid to achieve one of the major objectives of the 2017/2018 Students' Union Government of the Olabisi Onabanjo University aimed at rebranding the image of the institution, the union has unveiled a new logo for herself. It would be recalled that the President of the union, Comrade Williams Adeosun during his inauguration had told students to expect unionism like never before with promises to rebrand the image of the institution amongst other visible projects which he seeks to achieve.

The giant strides of the President has been so far in addressing transportation, portal, health, welfare and other issues disturbing the peace of the University and students. His latest efforts has been drawn to the logo of the Students' Union Government. Speaking to Campus Mirror last weekend, Williams authoritatively revealed that changing of the logo, which depicts the new symbol of the Olorogun Sunny Kuku's family is a project that should have been embarked upon by previous union administrations. In his words, "The new logo should have been done ever since, this administration wouldn't have been the one to come up with the change of logo or the adoption.

Let me not call it change because it's not like We are changing, the Students' Union of Olabisi Onabanjo University is under the Olorogun Kuku Secretariat. "Olorogun Kuku is our patron and that's why the logo is being adopted. "This family has changed their logo, I think that was two or three years ago, they stopped using the former logo. "So, in a bit to get this same evolution, I believe the family secretariat and everything are all linked together. It doesn't make sense that the Olorogun Kuku logo has changed while the Olorogun Kuku secretariat is still using the old identity. I feel it's wrong and it requires a change cum amendment and that is the idea that pushed the move to adopt the new Olorogun Kuku logo.", Williams explained.
