OOU STUDENTS IN SHOCK AS VARIOUS FACULTIES RELEASE EXAM TIME TABLE

300L and 400l Students of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye are not smiling and have expressed shock and discomfort following the release of examination time table by various faculties in the university.

Campus Mirror gathered that most faculties including the Faculty of Administrative and Management science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Social Science, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Agricultural sciences, Faculty of Clinical sciences and Faculty of basic medical sciences has all released their examination time table respectively.

The time table for Faculty of Administrative and Management science and that of Social science which was released today Wednesday 17th January 2018 comes just 5 days before the examination is meant to start while that of Faculty of Science, Law and Basic Medical Science  was released one week before the stated date for the examination.

This is unusual for the university management which is known to release exam timetable at least two weeks before commencement of such exams.

Campus Mirror learnt that the examination for the college of Agricultural sciences which was earlier scheduled to start on 22nd January has been postponed till 29th of  January. However, that of Faculty of Law, faculty of science and social and management sciences and others are keen to start next Monday.

Quite number of students who spoke with Campus Mirror expressed discomfort   at the time table schedule stating that it came too fast for students to prepare appropriately.

"I don't think I can write this examination. I have 2 papers on Monday and I am just seeing my exam time table today Wednesday. How do I start reading? Infact, I dont even know what to read",  Oladokun Afeez, an aggrieved science student told Campus Mirror.

Another set of students  who proffered anonymity complained that their department course work has not been completed neither have they written tests nor held revisions.

"This exam is impromptu, it cannot hold", they said.

Meanwhile, we learnt that the SUG Welfare  Director, Comrade Iman and other officials has taken the concern of students to the school management. However, it doesn't seem there would be a change in the examination dates, according to close management sources who informed Campus Mirror.

As at time of filing this report, Campus Mirror understands that the SUG President, Comrade Williams Adeosun is already on dialogue with the Vice Chancellor over the issue.

Campus Mirror is closely monitoring the situation for updated information.
