Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, has announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Admission Post-UTME (PUTME) Screening Exercise for candidates seeking admission into the institution for the 2026/2027 academic session.
According to the admission notice issued by the university, applications are open to UTME candidates who chose OOU and scored a minimum of 160 in the 2026/2027 UTME. Candidates who did not initially choose the university but scored at least 160 are also eligible, provided they are willing to change OOU to their first-choice institution before commencing PUTME registration.
The university stated that candidates must have uploaded their WAEC/NECO O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS platform and printed their 2026 UTME result slip. Foreign candidates and candidates with disabilities (CWDs) are exempted from the PUTME screening exercise.
The notice further emphasised that candidates who will not be at least 16 years of age by 30 September 2026 are not eligible to apply.
For Direct Entry applicants, eligibility extends to candidates who applied through JAMB using qualifications such as A’ Level, University Diploma, ND, HND, NCE, IJUPEB certificates or first degrees. Applicants are required to upload their credentials, including O’Level results, on JAMB CAPS. Diploma holders from other approved institutions must possess a minimum of Upper Credit to qualify.
The university has proposed 3–7 August 2026 for the screening exercise, which will take place at the Main Campus, Ago-Iwoye. The screening will be conducted through Computer-Based Tests (CBT).
Candidates are required to pay ₦2,000 only as screening and administrative charges. Payment and registration are to be completed online through the university’s PUTME portal. After completing the registration process, candidates are expected to print their OOU PUTME Screening Pass at least one week before the screening date.
On the day of the screening, candidates must come along with their OOU PUTME Screening Pass and 2026 UTME Result Slip.
The university advised applicants to regularly check the PUTME portal for updates and further information regarding the screening exercise.
OOU also warned candidates against dealing with unauthorised individuals, stressing that the university does not have any agent.
The admission notice was signed by Dr. Bayo Orukotan, Registrar, and was issued on 22 June 2026.
